Saturday 14th January 2012 - Members Afternoon.- Our usual afternoon of short talks from membersm tea and social get-together. Please bring gifts of cakes ti the hall for tea, and anyone with slides to show or a talk or other item, please contact Jim Burnett in advance (number in Field Views). Hall will be open at 2pm for a prompt start at 2:30pm. St Mary's church hall, Greenham.

Sunday 22nd January 2012 - Slimbridge.- A full day's visit to this flagship WWT on the Severn, where Bewick's swans, White-fronted Geese and ducks should be spending the winter months. Take food for the day or eat in the excellent cafe. Meet at the Wharf at 8:30am or in the car park at Slimbridge at 10am. Group entry for non-members of the WWT £8.80 adult and £6.80 concessions. Saturday 24th January 2012 - Greenham Common.- A morning walk on the common looking for winter finches, thrushes and other species. Meet in the Control Tower car park at 9am. Wrap up warm ! Leader : Debby Reynolds

Saturday 11th February 2012 - Great Grey Shrike Hunt.- Shrikes can turn up anywhere in winter, so we'll check the guides and try to find one on the day. Meet at the Wharf at 8:30am to decide the best place to go. If that is the New Forest, we could move to Blashford Lakes for the afternoon. Bring food for the day. Leader : Lesley Staves

Thursday 23rd February 2012 - An evening with owls - David Garner.- Wildlife photographer David Garner has studied the Long-eared Owl for many years, and his talk shows many aspects of this secretive and rarely seen bird. as well as insights into the lives of Barn Owls. Meeting starts 7:30 's pm in St.Marys church hall, Greenham.

Tuesday 6th March 2012 - "Hewholes and Chatternags" - Charles Martin.- We have again been invited to join Kintbury Wildlife Group for this evening lecture on the folklore of birds. Charles has spoken to us before on Migration, a lecture greatly enjoyed by those who saw him and this promises to be just as interesting. Meeting starts at 7:30pm in the Coronation Hall, Inkpen Road, Kintbury. There will be a raffle.

Club Trip to Georgia, formerly within Russia, over the Easter holiday. More details to follow in Field Views (Keep you eyes peeled for this trip, as it is bound to be very popular)

The usual club evenings looking to find Nightjars and Woodcocks.
