Submitting your bird records

It is much easier for the Club to process bird records which are supplied in electronic format. We have produced Excel spreadsheets to make it easy for you to record and submit your annual records and these provide the ideal format for us to process. We encourage you to submit as much detail as possible about your sightings - notes on interesting behaviour, plumage variations, unusual nesting sites, etc are especially useful. All records are welcome whatever the format but if you could use one of the following spreadsheets it would be much appreciated. Please click on one of the titles to open or save the spreadsheet. Unfortunately we cannot yet process records online so once you have done yours please email them to info1@ndoc.org.uk

1. Simple spreadsheet. This is a "no frills" sheet. You could use this if you only have a few records to submit.

2. Newbury area spreadsheet. For submitting records from the Newbury area (c10 miles of Newbury centre). This spreadsheet has "user friendly" features to help you quickly enter species, site and observer names. You may find it preferable to use this if you have a larger number of records to submit. At first sight this spreadsheet may look complicated; it's not really but there are some basic instructions on the first sheet if you need help!

3. Berkshire spreadsheet. For submitting records from the whole of Berkshire. This spreadsheet is identical to the Newbury sheet but has a countywide list of site names.
